The Navy Man
This is more personal, I suppose. But I want to write this nonetheless. So let's just get right to it.
~~~~~~~
The Navy Man
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
Simple words, come and go.
People come and go.
People we carry in our hearts forever and ever.
And on that day.
A day of tragedy of the navy man.
Dead at around 1:30.
Tears began to flow like a waterfall.
Memories come flooding in.
And the day becomes night.
Morning begins with sadness in the eyes.
The navy man, loved his family and lover.
Loved is friends.
Loved all.
Impacted their lives.
And so many stories to be told.
Then the day comes.
The day he gets to his final resting place.
In an Bama urn.
We all cry for him.
And when we go to the navel base.
Cars began to stop.
Stop with respect for their own.
Shots are fired in his honor.
The bullets and a flag go to his lover.
A sight to seen.
A sight full of tears.
A sight of a life celebrated.
And now we exit.
The cars stop still.
To respect the navy man.
To respect their own.
To respect the grieving.
The navy man looks down on us.
He will always be remembered.
He will always be in our hearts.
In our minds.
In our soul.
Never, never, never.
Never, never, never.
Never, never, never.
Will he be forgotten.
A runner, a coach, a father, a man of service.
A grandpa, a lover, a caring soul, a teacher.
And of course.
And of course.
And of course.
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
Roll tide roll.
